Welcome to Cape Fear Ski and Outing Club! We are a year-around outdoor activities and social club composed of singles, couples, and families of all ages. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at O'Charley's on Vancampen Rd, 6:00. Visitors Welcome!

The Cape Fear Ski and Outing Club (CFSOC) is a nonprofit organization for anyone who enjoys skiing, boating, camping, cycling, golfing, tennis, kayaking, volleyball and any other types of outdoor recreation. We welcome those who want to learn new skills in a sport, or just want to eat and socialize with other Club Members in an enjoyable atmosphere. As a member, you will receive a monthly newsletter announcing special events, outings and trips. BTW, we love to eat…did we mention that yet?

Please contact any Board Member for membership information, advertising rates, event information or with any ideas, comments, or questions. We hope you will consider joining us. The Cape Fear Ski and Outing Club is a member of the Crescent Ski Council and the National Ski Council Federation.

June 20th - Kayaking on the Waterway

Come join us for an afternoon of kayaking and a shrimparoo.  The cost is $10.00 per person to cover the cost of the food. It appears we will have enough kayaks to share to avoid having to rent. Contact Al Bishop ASAP, this event is filling up fast at eabishop@oakisland.com

July 31-Aug 2nd - Tanglewood Golf Trip

For the past several years we have enjoyed this annual trip to a true golfing mecca. Tanglewood Park was formerly the Reynolds Estate (think tobacco) and donated to Forsyth County.  We'll play Saturday on the Championship Course and Sunday on the Reynolds Course.  Hiking and biking trails nearby along with tennis facility.  If interested, contact Al Bishop at eabishop@oakisland.com.

Sep 4-7, Mountain Retreat, Newland, NC

Come join us for a great weekend in the mountains riding on the VA Creeper, boating, hiking and of course, eating and drinking wine!  Space is limited, contact Jack Little at paperjack@juno.com.
